UPDATE: Not bummed anymore!!
UPDATED: The seller reached out to me to explain that what I observed wasn’t damage or scorching, but rather the protective film that appeared burnt around the edges due to the heat sealing process. I am cancelling my return request and changed this review from 3 stars to 5 based on the seller’s messages. I really like these lamps and this seller’s exceptional customer service. I’m no longer concerned about whether or not they are safe to use in any situation. They don’t even get warm when in use!Further, there is a remote control included that allows me to adjust the brightness, change color and turn on or off without touching the lamp. Very convenient. Probably going to order more for gifts and again, based on exceptional customer service, I’ll order from THIS seller. (How cute would they be to light a pathway for trick or treaters???)Returning these lamps. I really like the touch feature, variety of colors, and ability to put them anywhere because they’re not limited to locations near an outlet. However, I didn’t order used lights. I have ordered “used/like new” previously, but not this time. I expected new. Not only are the touch pads scratched, but I’m concerned that the black marks are potentially from being scorched. I can’t say if this was external to the lamps or if the black spots are related to the “touch” for on/off. They’re inexpensive and pretty – and my family and pets are too precious to expose to even the slightest fire risk.

Awesome for a relaxing bath in the bathroom, just take cover off to project colorful moving waves. Also can turn a light on facing down for desk use,bright to dimm feature. It’s wireless, rechargeable, highly recommended

Great little lamp!
Great effect, can be used with what for a muted look or without for a “water” effect that covers a large room. Using at night a charge lasts me 2-3 days.

Didn’t work
Worthless. The battery won’t charge so the only way to use it is have it plugged in. Also while it is plugged in you can’t turn it off. We would use the remote to turn it off and after about 30 seconds it would turn itself back on. We are returning it.
