Decent fake plants, but… Easily pulled apart in multiple ways by a curious animal or wind.
For over $40, I can’t say these topiary things are a good value, because they don’t seem to have been made for people to really use outside.The positives are small. They’re alright for indoor use, so I could see using these indoors if you have some empty pots that you want to spruce up. They don’t look too shabby, and while I wouldn’t say they look real, they look convincing enough at a distance to not draw negative attention. The flowers and leaves and stems and such are all pre-attached, and there’s nothing to ‘fluff out’; it’s just a lot of plastic, so they’re already good to go as soon as you give them a little shake. They work perfectly indoors, and I’ve only had a few leaves and flowers fall off while I was moving them around.Unfortunately, that’s about all I can say positive-wise, is that these are decent for indoor use.These don’t hold up well to just about anything more involved than looking at them. The plastic they’re made of is a lot of little bits that aren’t super well held together, so if you grab a fake leaf or flower and pull gently, you’re likely to pull it off, along with several others. It’s not as easy as string cheese, but it’s to the point where a curious squirrel or bird would definitely shed these within minutes. That’s not the only way these aren’t made well. Specifically, the tube the fake plant is on, just kind of pushes onto the tube of the plastic ‘spike’, and it’s not a tight fit. Perhaps if you super-glued it on it would be fine, but the way it is, any person, wind, or animal that grabbed a handful of it and pulled, would either pull them off the stem, or pull the tubes apart, and then you’d just have a plastic spike left behind in the ground with a small shoddy-looking tube sticking out of it. And while you could go push the pieces loosely back together and glue them yourself if those get pulled apart regularly, if the plastic leaves or flowers get pulled out of their little spots, there’s no real way to put those back on at all.Overall, I can’t recommend these. Perhaps if they were half the price and made better I could, but as it stands, these are not a good purchase.* I only review things that I personally use myself and keep using for a long time.* I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review.* I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product.* I write exactly what I think about things – the good, the bad, and everything in between.* If I get multiple of something it’s because I regularly use and need both of them.* And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn’t hold up as expected.
