Absolutely beautiful! I bought this as a gift and when I opened it I was tempted to keep it!It’s wonderfully made. The quality and built is great! A tissue box can be placed inside of it and if you don’t have a box that fits, you can place the tissue right in it. The inside is painted and not splintered wood, but I still thought of lining it with wax paper before placing loose tissue in it.The item is big but lightweight, It’s exactly the size of what three stacked books would be. So, if you want to travel with it, keep in mind the space needed for it. Hope this helps!

Looks great but cheap materials
Looks awesome but be careful of the lid hinges. Thin wood panels and handling too rough when opening the lid could strip out the hinge screws and/or break the lid off with no easy fix.

Hinges do not attach to lid in a way that they last
The lid comes apart at the hinges bought one to replace it, and it was already damaged when delivered. I do not think this is quality and would not waste my money.

If I have to have a box of tissue on my desk, at least it looks good. It did smell of varnish when I first got it so I let it sit outside for a few days and it was fine. Have to use the smaller tissue boxes (like the generic ones) but that’s fine by me. Achoo!!!

This tissue holder is perfect. It is sitting on a shelf of books and blends right in with the other books. My tissue boxes fit inside perfectly. The inside space would accommodate a box of approximately 9″L X 4-3/4″W X 3-1/2″H. There are a couple of places inside the holder where the ‘book edges’ jut into the inside of the box and I have taken that into account in my measurements. My tissues boxes are 8-3/4″L X 4-1/4″W X 3-1/2″H, so an easy fit.
