nice, solid decor piece
We ordered two of these jacks as decor for a new home office. They are a good solid, heavy pieces that look nice as a finishing touch atop a stack of books or on a coffee table. Good buy for the price.

perfect for any decor
I bought two of these jacks because the price is the lowest anywhere. I had seen these on other sites and they were very expensive. The size is great, about 6 inches at its highest point, and they are heavy. these are perfect for bookends or paperweight, for gifting, etc. I like gold touches for my mcm decor so I painted this with my basic craft store acrylic gold paint and they look awesome! They dried quickly and the rough texture is perfect for the paint to adhere. They look beautiful as is so you don’t have to paint them. I would highly recommend .

I love this item! It is heavy cast iron and is a great stop! It is not too big and does doesn’t get in the way when not in use. Unique and finished touch! Love it!

Fun retro paperweight or doorstop!
Came securely packed, which I appreciated, since cast iron is brittle (see pictures). They arrived undamaged; the protective cardboard stuck to the surface in places, but it’s easy to wash off. I love the look and heft of these; the surfaces are not machine-smooth, but that adds to their charm; there are no slubs or spiky bits. Be aware that the prong reaches well past the balls in the vertical plane, so if your intent is to use it as a bookend, the prong alone will touch the books.

Actually made of metal, with a slight rusty patina (doesn’t stain furniture or anything). I keep it on one of my living room shelves, along with other lovely marina-themed decorations such as a sextant or a small telescope. Attracts heaps of compliments and looks very original.
