the shade portion is one long strip that you have to connect so they’re not too sturdy
I like these, but I’m not sure that they’re worth the price. That will have to be up to you, but I will share pictures of mine. I put in my own Amazon bulbs so that I could use Alexa to change the color and intensity. Even without bulbs on (and most or all) of my photos are with no lights on, it shines/reflects gold light. I love the gold and black colors so I appreciate that it shines even without the light on during the day.I wish the instructions were a bit more clear. The lamp shades are flat, and then you have to connect them onto the wire that has clips. I felt like that was not sturdy. I bumped the lamp one time and the shade came slightly apart and I had to put it back together. So I wish that it was one piece, rather than something you have to put together. Or maybe it could have more clips, but really I’d rather the shade portion be one whole piece. Mine seems a bit lop-sided which is probably due to me knocking it and not wanting to take too much time to get it perfect. But if it was one piece, it wouldn’t have been such a task to fix.I usually just use the top light (via Alexa), but in the middle of the night, it’s nice to just flip a switch to have the bottom portion light up so I can fiddle with my CPAP machine. I also have used the USB connection to charge some devices. It seems to work well. The shade would not just fall off if you were not bumping into it. Don’t worry about that. But it is a hassle to reattach them. Maybe that would make cleaning easier than a regular lampshade (which I would never clean). Maybe it’s a pro in disguise.

Look great, but one arrived damaged
Lamps look very well, one lamp came damaged and unusable for the top lamp, the other lamp looks great though! They were packaged well so not sure how the one lamp broke! Customer service was quick to get back with me and they shipped out a new set!

Love these!!
Easiest lamps I’ve ever assembled. I love that they have clips for the shade instead of Velcro. I replaced the top light bulb with a flame light and it looks so good! I can’t find a way to replace the little bulb at the bottom of the lamp, but that would also look cool with a flame light. They’re large lamps, perfect for the living room.
