Zero light
I recently purchased two sets of these blackout curtains for $13 per set. After hanging them in my room, I was impressed with how effectively they block out light. Not only do they create an ideal sleep environment, but they also add an aesthetically pleasing touch to my room. As someone who suffers from multiple sclerosis and chronic migraines, I highly recommend these curtains to anyone who requires a dark room for relief. I plan to post photos of my room once it’s complete (if I remember lol)

Perfect for my needs in a very hot city
I like that they’re heavy weight and block 100% of the light. My son doesn’t like them because they are plain, but to block the light and heat in Las Vegas, NV, these are necessary. They are wrinkled, but with a handheld steamer you can fix that easily. I have some for every window and they reduce the heat upstairs that comes through the double pane windows. I also have blinds on the windows in the other bedroom, but since I’m trying to save money, I put just these up in my bedroom and my room gets most of the afternoon sun ☀️. These work wonders to reduce light and heat. And I bought “used like new”, so I saved even more money. I had to go on another website to get heavy duty curtain rods because these are so substantial in weight. Currently the curtains are hanging on the light duty rods until the heavyweight rods showed up today. I bought some really expensive 100% blocking curtains at Kohl’s for $69 a pair, but I like these better due to the dual backing and front material layers. These have a slight satin sheen, but not shiny. The poor lighting photos are to show how well they work with the Las Vegas sun behind the curtains.

Effective heat blocking & attractive
These curtains have effectively managed the sun light that produced way too much heat on my second floor. Game changer with these this summer! The blackout backing is actually black material, so might be an issue if you there is some restriction in your community for white window treatments.Room-facing color is true to online picture. Heavy (like theater curtains), yet soft. Grommets are sturdy. I searched for 120″ length curtains and these popped up, however, in the description below, it then inverted the width & length numbers, making it look like they were 120 wide. I’m guessing mine were returned for this reason, which is why the half price made it an even better value. I would have paid full price. Oh, and they were so easy to steam out the wrinkles.

Are you allergic to the sun’s deadly lazers? I am. I don’t need no Vitamin D. These curtains will help you obliterate that bright nuisance once and for all. I got the Sun Zero Oslo Theater Grade Extreme 100% Blackouts to put on my Kenney Ball Standard Decorative Window Double Curtain Rods. I put the black out curtains closest to the windows, then my sheers on the inside so I see those instead. Also, closer to the window means more blackout effect. A+! The grommet version of these are in my living room and are easy to open and close because of those nice metal grommets sliding on the curtain rod. My bedroom has the pocket version, not grommets. They stick sometimes on the curtain rod. Make sure you mount the curtain rods ABOVE and OUT PAST the edge of your windows. I did 6 inches above, and 4 inches out past the edge of the windows. For maximum black out effect. Definitely wash the curtains before putting them up.Honestly, I have narcolepsy, so any tiny thing wakes me up but when I want to sleep, I want to SLEEEEEEEP! These are great for killing the sunlight, dampening road/neighbor noise, and insulating the window from cold winter drafts. 20/10, I will be putting these in my guest room as soon as I can afford to. The fancy toile curtains in both images are from Sin In Linen. They’re expensive as heck. And wrinkly as heck because they’re just bland plain cotton with print. But they have a corner on the “weird / goth” prints, so they get away with it.

Not noise reducing
These have Zero noise reducing capabilities. I have a sound level meter and my room when cars are going by are about 47.4db’s and with the curtains closed and they overlay the window by about 8 inches on each side and 6inche on top and about 1ft on the bottom. my db meter was reading 46.6db-47.2. There is a little less but not enough to call them noise reducing. I will order some 4 layer curtains to see if they will work. These look nice and do a great job darkening the room

Reviewers who reported the wrinkles are almost impossible to iron out are correct. It darkens well but not completely. It may depend on how much light comes into your window.

I am pretty happy with the purchase. They look really nice and are surely black out curtains. I do believe they slightly reduce sound, but hard to say by how much. Anyway the acoustics in my room did improve after I hung them, so really useful.
